Sir Ken Robinson TED 2006

This is definately an idea worth spreading:

A few of the most intriguing comments include:

· We are educating children today (2006) that will retire in 2065
· We do not know what the world will be like in five years
· Creativity is as important as literacy
· There was a little girl drawing a picture and the teacher asked her what are your drawing, she responded a picture of god. The teacher said nobody knows what god looks like, the little girl said they will in a minute
· If you are not prepared to be wrong, you will never have an original thought
· We educate people out of creativity
· Shakespeare was in somebodies English class
· Professors live in their heads and slightly to one side
· Professors view their bodies as transport for their heads
· We teach children not to do things that they won't get a job at, music, dance etc... also gives a negative stigma
· Intelligence is dynamic, diverse and distinct
· Creativity is the ability to have original ideas that have value
